I'm still stuck on the elevator fuse. Can anyone give me a hint?

A really good game, but i am stuck, i dont understand how to put the chess peaces? I have all 4 but i cant figure it out. Pls help :)

I have put skull in the slab but door in the temple doesn't open. How to digg x spot I have shovel?

Also, sorry for the double post, but is the magic lamp in the wizard's hut of any use or is it a red herring?

I love this game, but am really struggling on a few things. I have been to every available room and examined everything I can find but I can't figure out what to do with the dead mouse and what to do once I've summoned the ice sprite by playing the organ, I speak to her but get no response. I also can't seem to do anything with the jewelled clock, the magic mirror, the ice fire, the chasm or the chamber of echoes and have yet to find a use for the gem of light or amulet of air or the goblin's hand. I also can't find the green crystal to place in the monolith and can't go into the ice queen's chamber without being killed. Also, are the scrolls a red herring or is there one I'm supposed to be looking for? The rest of the game was very challenging but I have managed to figure most of it out through trial and error but I just can't seem to figure these puzzles out so would be very grateful if you could help me please so I can finally finish this brilliant game!
