I'm only taking a star away because I'm frustrated. I played this in June and didn't finish it. The fireplace disappeared from objects in a room so I couldn't light anything in the fireplace. I restarted it and now I can't find the objects to get to the well. Are these glitches or am I missing subtle/not subtle hints?

are you supposed to be able to use the fireplace in the Lounge? nothing is showing up as an object in the room.

never mind, i found out how to unlock the case, now I just need to find the key, figure out the fireplace, how to use the shovel, and where to use the strimmer. strimmer? trimmer?

hey I'm just missing something - how do you find the combination lock on the briefcase? I tried examine and look, but can't seem to find the right command. Thanks!

I'm loving this game, but I'm also completely confused about the uncle's house, with the dead seagull and other items. I've put things in a series of different combinations but nothing has changed. Any possible hint would be helpful, I'm at my wit's end!
