This is a very fun game! I am stuck on the poison as well--I can't figure out any combination of commands that will let me poison the rum and/or the chieftan. Help!

Wow. This was a terrific game. I have to confess I started it about a year ago and got irritate with "guess the verb" of "reach into telescope" so stopped... but i'm really glad I picked it up again. Really, really fun. Bremoval and Badder were so clever. Loved the reversal of spells and all the spells in general. Portal was great and i liked the library control desk interface. I agree that potions were a PITA... i would have just made it be everlasting potions like the bucket of sand (thanks for that, btw... if we had had to go back to the beach to get sand every beaker, i think we all would have killed you :) ) I think you have an eager group waiting for Wizard 2!

This was a really great game. I needed some assistance from some of the hints on this page, but in general the puzzles were challenging but intuitive. I was also surprised by some twists I didn't see coming. Do-overs were a great addition (except when you were in an already unwinnable place!) Genuinely creepy at points. Really fun and I'm sorry it's over :) Thanks!

i am crispix's 8 year old son. i would have given this game five stars. The monkey was super annoying. I liked the dead dead thing. My sister likes how the monkey makes you drop everything. Why did you make the matches go in the jar of honey? I don't see why I can't put them in the bottle. My mom never knew about the black sand beach. Awesome game!

This really was a great game. Some really creative puzzles-fun to solve. loved the traveling between islands... building the boat, the colored pegs puzzle.. good stuff. Thanks!
A few thoughts (which may just be my own pet peeves):
- The monkey. Oh, the monkey. at the very least i'd get rid of the "you drop everything" option because at a few points i considered bagging the game rather than having to continue to pick everything up. Without even a "take all" option!
- A few things really counter-intuitive... huh? How are matches not ruined by a jar of honey? Why not just use an empty bottle or jar? Also, the only place i could fill the bottle was at the stream, even though i kept going underwater, there was a small pond, etc. Hard to know I was on the right track.
- Also--my own pet peeve, granted... i hate mazes. I would have quit at the jungle if i hadn't had your walkthrough! How would i ever have solved that, or found the anteater? I might be alone in this, though, since there are so many mazes in text games. I also don't like games where you can die or make game-losing decisions... maybe i'm just grumpy :) Thanks! Now i have to go do my actual work...

Well, good thing it happened, otherwise i would happily have gone on in the game having wasted the pistol shot! Will use my cutlass.

This game is awesome. Problem though--i shoot the villager, and then I still can't go east because it says "I don't think that angry villager is going to let you by." He's dead! Why can't I go by? Is this a bug? How to fix?

This is a great game. I am stuck though--i've gotten into moonlight suite but cannot find the chess piece supposedly put there. I also can't open the safe (can't figure out the code!) if that is at all relevant. I have all 3 other pieces in place.

I can't finish the scarecrow. I know i'm supposed to stuff clothes with straw... i can find a couple places where there is straw, but i can't get to it. Any hints?
