I'm stuck. I'm in elliott's bottom snd I don't have a clue. I've given the cloth to olive and got the bulb and the battery but have no idea what to do now.

That's it for the chemist. He should have paid you. The end objective for most of the Burningham is to get the money to buy the red dye.
Have you solved the puzzle of the dog?
Have you won the Eggs factor?
The paste is green. The same colour as someone's hair!

Have you got the cloth? If you look at it then it will tell you a new location has been opened from the world map.
If you can't get past the dark room, then maybe there is something you can do with the rod. Think a-head! ;)

I found this quite difficult but just as engaging. The eggs factor was a good idea. The ending felt a bit rushed though
And... because I played the other games, it was interesting to see what happened to the press. It was never explained in Sir Loin as to why it was suddenly broken. Now we know!

Okay, it depends on what you've done so far. If the tunnel is too dark, you will have to find a way to light it. Try using the rod on the statue head

Scratch that. I've advance to the point of being in Madam Mayi's tent. I have the cloak, wig and fake ball. But I can't sit in the chair. I'm not sure what else I have to do. There's no other clues in the painting.

help!!!! really enjoying this so far but im STUCK...... Here's were I'm at:I am looking for the battery for edisons camera? Can't get the sheep to do anything even though gave it grass and have filled sheep dip. Got pass, found wallet, got glasses, up to 4 songs 1 more needed and spent all gold that i have on fortune and opera glasses. Pulled lever on stage to get light bulb and ended up stuck and couldnt get out - good job i saved beforehand!
I know I'm useless and give up too easily but its so addictive! AAAARHHHH!

Thanks for your reply CJ592. Got out from under stage - climbed rig (god how think? lol) sold map a little while ago.
Only thing I am stuck on now is the snails.......i've got 4 but cannot find the last one. I've look everywhere but have come to a standstill. I know it'll be something really obvious :-)
I think I got the 4 from, long grasses, dais, hole and altar? if i've remembered rightly that is.

Hi! I have a small problem and wondering whether it is a glitch? I am trying to give the camera back to Edison but keep being told that I should take the battery out first. However, when I read the description it tells me that there is no battery in the camera, and every action I have tried - open camera, examine camera etc etc brings no results....

Any help on this would be appreciated!!! THANKS!!!

Never mind, I got there in the end! Overall a fantastic game - the only issue I found was the difficulty in interacting with/using some of the objects (the battery, the chair etc). That said, it was an extremely entertaining game, and I look forward to trying out the Sir Loin games! Thanks!

I'm stuck.
I have got to the palace but there's nothing there except a statue (no Queen). I have the dress and the red wig, but it won't let me wear them. I've also not used the clay bowl, but can't work out where on earth it could be necessary!

I have just played it through again. When you get to the court (where the statue is) Go north to the palace. The Queen should be there! She was when I played it through

Finished it, finally! The Queen never appeared on her own - had to debug it before & after the barn - but I think that might be a problem with my downloading, not your game!
A good game, although as others have said, it was a little frustrating sometimes, trying to find precisely the right command for some things and having to do the same thing repeatedly to eventually get a different response. But generally, thanks, it was good fun!

OK, got a lot further now. Did dog, Al,... I just cant return Edison's camera. He keeps insisting that I take the battery out.

But when I look at the camera it sais that the battery is NOT inside...

Do I need to take more photo's? Maybe a nice picture in the dress? ;)

I could do with a hint. I must be dangerously close to finishing it but I'm stuck. I'm in the barn having rescued the "magic harp" but the followers have me trapped. I can't seem to do anything with them, the priest, the mule or the press to escape. A gentle push in the right direction would be lovely.

I also found the battery/camera problem others have mentioned. Spent ages trying to get into Edisons place for the battery and then realised the battery was already in the camera despite the description saying it wasn't.

Ok, I think I just discovered something awesome. After you return the camera to edison, if you give him the battery, he starts taking pictures of the lightning again. Then if you speak to him, he gives you the camera again. If you return it to him again, he gives you a gold piece again. You can keep doing this to get lotsa gold. :) :)

I hope your enjoying it sue. I tend to write the game to to use the click and drag use A with B rather than trying to find the correct verbs (which always annoyed me when playing games)

ps remember the carp is a character. You can talk to it ;)

HI Natloud. It depends when you are trying to read it. If I can remember rightly, there is one specific time during the game when reading the biography is important to the quest.
What have you tried with it? and what does it say?

I'd appreciate some help with the sheep. How can I get it to the tank? Or am I supposed to shave it? (I've got no clue on how to do that though...)
And I need to bring light to Edison to cheer him up, but I can't recharge the battery to get the light bulb working. Please help me...

I am stuck again. I believe I need something that resembles a glowing crystal ball. I have a dull bulb, clay bowl, crystal bowl, and cannot combine them. I don't have a new location either. I have the biography, camera, dress, autograph, and red dye also. What's next please?

you need to remove the battery from the camera. then use it on the bulb, when it glows you can put it in the bowl

I do have the wool and dye but they are no longer seperate ;) I thought I had tried the battery/bulb thing..I shall try again thank you!

Annabel wasn't bad IMHO. -> Do you have the Thyme? :D You are the first author where I enjoyed their games, tricky yet playable, witty, and fun. So I 'spose you should work on your uncompleted games so I have something to do after finishing all of them! lol.

My mouse button's right-click is broken so the right-click and drag option is useless to me (to give). is there a way for you to perhaps add a button in future games? I also like that in some games you have the option to "examine" when double-clicking an item.

Marcos, have you got the glasses from the theatre box? If so just use them when you're in the field with Edison. Hope this helps. If you're having trouble getting the key to the theatre box make sure you've spoken to olive and examined the desk when you manage to get rid of her briefly.

Sooz: yes, you do need gloves, you'll need to go back to Elliott's Bottom to find them, to find them you need to get the sheep to move, this can be done by offering it a sheep-friendly snack you might find nearby. Hope this helps.

Sonali, you don't need to move the sheep to the tank at any point, though you will need the tank to clean something you get from the sheep later in the game. If you haven't done so already, use some of the grass from the adjacent field on the sheep and it will move to reveal something you will need in order to help Edison in the lightning plain.
