Freshman Fantastic: boy by marilyn
This game contains adult content. Only those with the link can see it.
This is an adult title. You should be eighteen and be sure that it's legal for you to view sexually explicit material if you want to play this. That said, it's not all that explicit. It is my first attempt at making a game. You play a freshman at Fantastic University, a very small college located in a space station in the middle of nowhere. The object of the game is to sleep with all the female teachers and students. You can lose the game but you should be notified when that has happened. If anybody is at all entertained by this, I'll make up a version from a female perspective with a more intricate plot. If you find bugs or get stuck, let me know.

Thank you! I learned a lot writing this game but I just can't bring myself to goof with it much more. I am aware that the bugs you mention are there and I do realize some of the mistakes I made in the coding and how they could be fixed. For a variety of reasons my motivation to work on this or another adult title has just seemed to vanish. I may very well come up with a new game at some point but I'd probably write it under another name. It would be fun to have a game I could be more 'out' with in my real life... not that I'm exactly incognito with this one.

There are a few bugs to this game. They don't break it, but I feel they're worth mentioning.
Two of the encounters, Mrs. Dimplebottom and Rene, are infinitely repeatable. This won't help you finish the game, really, but it's still there, and seems out of place. In addition, the painting respawns, though it'll just sit in your inventory, since Doctor Thistlethimble disappears.
The Key serves no purpose, since the locked Box can be opened without it, and Lizbeth's 'rating' might as well read 0 - she sems bugged to respond favourably to anyone with a fixed map.
As said, however, these bugs are not dealbreakers, and I enjoyed the time sunk into playing this. I'd consider playing another like it...but please, make it longer.

never mind about the robot. now i need have sex with jane. I now i've to find a book, but wich book and were is it?
well, I'll give you a mark because I almost complete it. The points I like are: the idea, hotness and rate command, all the posibilities of actions and the hints in the game. There was some mistakes, so I'll give you a four.

I mean: I understand why a girl won't sleep with someone who's not hot enough, but I don't understand why she won't take medicine from someone who's not hot enough! (My doctor is not particularly sexy, but that doesn't stop me taking medicine from him...) The thing is that what Rene says to you when you try to give her the medicine ('What's this?') suggests that there's another puzzle to be solved, eg. finding a dictionary to translate the writing on the bottle...

agusplayer: your hotness level has to be higher than that sexy art teacher.
zoni: You can earn credits in the game by doing workstudy. There's a specific teacher that can help you with that. Mrs. Smith has a hotness level of 8 and Rene has a level of 5. You have to have a higher hotness level or you can't seduce a girl. Try a few of the less sexy ones and then come back to those. You'll get more attractive with experience.

Thanks for writing this but I'm stuck (score 3 hotness 5).
A lot of characters seem to want things that are available in the student supply store (calculator, flowers, map, towel) but I have no credits. Should I be looking for credits, or trying to acquire the items in some other way?
Also: I fixed the robot, but I can't make it do anything. I can't switch it on. The description says it has buttons, but I can't seem to push them. I can't find anything that needs cleaning. I tried giving it to Smith (who's bothered about the fact that there aren't any working cleaning robots) but she's not interested. What am I supposed to do?
Also: I got the medicine, but Rene doesn't accept it when I try to give it to her - she says 'What's this?' And I can't explain it to her because there doesn't seem to be a verb for that. Also, using and opening the medicine don't work, and 'use medicine on rene' just yields 'I can't see that here'. Hints, please!

You know, having trawled through the other 'adult' games here, I have to say that this one stands out by miles. I thought there'd be a lot more explicit content in this format, but the little that is here is quite simply juvenile, making this game shine by comparison.
Maybe it's harder than it looks... *goes away and tries for himself*

Thanks, Marilyn. That was a fun hour, spent riddling through the tasks. The 'rate' function is a cute addition, and the scripting for lower and higher rating consequences was neatly done. Nice variation in the sex scenes as well. The only reason I didn't automatically give this 5 stars was that you can do some actions and complete some tasks even without having solved the preceding task. I don't know if this is an issue in the Quest scripting engine or not, but it would have been perfect if not for that.
Keep writing adventures!

Okay, I've been away a few days and I'm in the middle of a big move so I'm likely to be away a lot for the next couple of weeks so I'll be slow to post answers and there won't be any bug fixes till I'm settled. The good news is that the new game is underway.
Rene and the Toolbox: You're right, those are bugs. There's at least one other bug that you haven't found. I'll have to fix some things and re-release the game. Mostly though, it's very playable this way so if you haven't played it yet it's still a good way to waist an afternoon.
The book: (spoiler alert) ****
Give the flowers to the boy in the hallway.
I believe you did figure out the painting by now. Be sure to search both the closet and the gym for things you need.
Thank you for the compliment. I hope it's entertaining. I'd like to make more. It was fun to write.

I can't believe I accidently said you're descriptions in my last post.. dumb dumb.
But I'm going to take a look in the library I guess. I didn't think about using the help section honestly, but you could try to make search bold or something like that. I also do it in the game I'm working on, so it's obvious which command to use.
And I noticed because a lot of games have a lot of mistakes. And I didn't see any in your game, which made me very happy being obsessed with proper grammar. (I admit it...)

Yay!
You need the key to open something. There's a lady in the library that I'm thinking you didn't get to. Though, if you finished the game there could be a small bug I need to work out.
I guess I figured people would type help and read the text. The search command is described there. I'll think out how to do that better next time...
Thank you for the rating, and also for the compliment on my spelling. Nobody has ever complimented my spelling before.

Thank you very much, I never would have guessed there's a search command! I also found a key but I never got to use it. Was it something you needed with Jane?
Anyway, I liked the game. It was quite funny and everything worked well. I think you should have told the player about the search command though, I've only used it once before in Things That Go Bump Into The Night and in that game it was kind of clear you had to search something. A huge plus is that your spelling is good. Good spelling is rare nowadays. You're descriptions are good, not too long but just long enough to describe everything. I think it's very original, the puzzles are fun, but not too hard and everything's working just fine so I'll give you 4 stars :)

The help command in this game contains most of the commands that you will use, except for the "give to name" that LinalLyssic already mentioned. I guess I figured that one was easy but if you are new to text games that might not be such a great assumption. You do need to read everything to pick up on all the hints and you need to "speak to name" just about everybody also.
@LinaLyssic: The thing that you are missing is hidden not in an object but in a room. I probably got that idea from a MUD I play, but anyway you can look for hidden objects in any room simply by typing "search". The painting is hidden in the sort of place you might hide an old broken object, or something you wanted to forget about.

@Marilyn Well thank you, already thought I screwed up with Jane. But I really don't have a clue where to find the painting. Please give me another hint? I've examined and looked at everything?
@War The look and examine commands are important, also you will have to read some things. To give an item, type: give (object) to (person)
Hope I helped you.

Okay, if Jane walked away then you can still finish the game but you won't win it. She's kinda a hard ass. Beelfetter actually doesn't have the paining, unless you gave it to him, and I'm pretty sure you can't do that. He hid it someplace. You should try searching places you might hide things.
Thank you so much for playing.

There is one thing that you haven't examined. Tried the game all the way through a couple more times to be sure I didn't goof up. I don't really want to say what it is, in case somebody wants to figure things out alone. I can say that it's something that you might not think to examine and that you probably used at some point already, but you don't need to use to win the game.
I did think a bit about how I wanted the game to be when I sat down to write it and one of the things I wanted was a game that you can lose, because I always feel like those are more fun. When you finally figure it out and win, then there's a sense of, "oh yeah, I beat that". Also, it kinda draws things out longer. You can play through once to see how everything works and then play through again to figure out how to win the thing.
There are ten women. If you end up with a score of ten. You won. If you flub with a woman or two, which is possible with only a few of them, and you've tried everybody. You'll get the losing message.

I was kinda hoping for more help than that. I've spoken to the male characters plenty of times and scanned everything they've said carefully. If there were supposed to be clues in all that then they're unbeknown to me. I can't find a poetry book anyway and I've searched in every room.
And I pretty much worked out that you had to fix the map. How you're supposed to do that exactly continues to elude me.

All the clues are actually in the game. For Beth you need a book of poetry that has that clue in it. It's bizarre and has nothing to do with real poetry. You can get that in the game if you pay attention to the male characters. There's something wrong with that map and you need to fix it. Again, pay attention to the male characters. A couple are just window dressing but most actually have some purpose. If you're still stuck let me know. I'm actually pleased that you played it through and you seem to have figured out the more difficult ones.

I can't figure out what the hell you have to say to Beth in order to have sex with her. I've tried all the things that come up in google searches. The vast ocean, water, bait, the sea and even a bicycle! I'm totally stuck...
I also don't know what I'm supposed to do with Lizbeth. I only seem to have the weird map.
I've had sex with everyone else and want to finish it.
