Assassin by Mocha Man and Eager Elmer
In this game you will explore ThereIsNoMafiaHereVille, a large happy town with a powerful mafia. This town is not happy in all ways, however... an incredibly corrupt mayor is unintentionally making unemployment rates skyrocket. You will begin without a job and forced to work for the mafia to make a living... and to kill the mayor who has ruined your life. You begin outside a tavern that will affect your life unfathomably (if you go get a drink inside that is).<br>There MIGHT be another version of this game coming out from the police force's point of view.

Mocha Man definitely does things unconventionally. That's not necessarily a bad thing and I did come to enjoy some aspects of this game. The limited command interface in this game was a pain, and it took a while to get used to it. I found it irritating that a verb like 'search' could be recognised in one or two locations, like the hospital, but unrecognised anywhere else. Still, the instructions at the beginning pointed me in the right direction as to how to get to grips with this game, which was fun in a way.
Normally, I detest filler locations, and I like text adventures which are short on rooms and long on interactivity. However, this game doesn't seem to be a text adventure in the conventional sense. The main challenge (apart from figuring out its logic) is to hunt the details in the ocean of the town map.
The game is much too limited. It is only half a game really. Money can be made various ways - doing missions for the mafia, gambling and pawning stolen goods. I liked that part. I was also supposed to be able to get money by racing cars, though I never got enough money to buy a car. Money doesn't seem to help you much though, as you don't need to make much money to complete the game by killing the mayor. It doesn't hold together. Mocha Man, you should have brought in another objective in the game - something you would need a huge amount of money for, and more ways of making money (if I'm ever to race cars).
It also needed more interactive elements in the game. There were some nice details which are very easily missed, like the town notice board, and the bored receptionist. There needed to be more though. Mocha Man also confuses his east with his west in room descriptions. The church in this game. The hallway in Spectrum. Sort it out.

"In this game you will explore ThereIsNoMafiaHereVille, a large happy town with a powerful mafia." for one thing, there is only 5 members of the mafia, so it aint all that powerful...
There are loads of rooms with no purpose, and every object is in the game FOR a purpose... Maybe, If you make a numero 2, you should add some descriptive objects.
IE. In the Car Lot were you buy a car, if you try to kill the guy selling them, he "runs you over many times with a car" were is the car?
Its also pretty short, with only about 3 missions if my memory serves me correctly.
Other than all of the above, 5 OUTTA 5!! YOU ROCK! KICK ASS! MAKE ANOTHER ONE! WOOOO!

Everything was awesome, except I couldn't get past the bank robbery. I got the bag of money and went back to the club, like it said when you typed "mission" after getting the money. The only people there were Delphi and someone else. I spoke to them, used the money, dropped the money, and did tons of other stuff, but nothing happened. Then I went back to Main & Ave., where you first meet the Mafia Leader. He was there and I had to do everything again...And the same thing happened.
Other than that, great game. I like the idea of the cars.

Thanks all for the positive comments. After my hard drive got mostly wiped by a virus, I lost all my quest files. Ah well. That was awhile ago. I have since moved on to programming graphical computer games (download them at http://drgames.2ya.com), but have re-downloaded QDK so maybe I'll start another quest game eventually... perhaps more of Assassin... I dunno. I'm glad people enjoy assassin so much though.

This is perhaps the best game on this site!!! I agree finding the bomb is a little diffucult. I was also unable to find it and the map is almost pointless. Don't take it the wrong way I love the game just frustrating at times. Maybe the next installment will fix this :]
Maybe if you did'nt mind me and you could work on a S.W.A.T game or somethin. You are a very talented person keep up the good work!!!

To Adji: I have absoluteley no idea in the slighest whatsoever why the screen went blank. Other bugs?? Aaah! On my computer, I tested and tested the game, and there were none, so perhaps it is a compatibility problem. I dont know.
To Atom Aaron: The bomb is hidden somewhere in a school, but there's much more to finding it than that.

I enjoyed this game but there were several errors/bugs that made me unhappy.
For some reason i was not able to go past the part on i think the fourth mission where you dump the bodies in the lak. I dumped them in the lake but the the screen went white and would not let me do anything.
Whilst long descriptions are often good i feel you have over used them, this is probably just me but it is quite annoying at times.
Instead of going SOUTH to pancake house or summit, you should ahve mad it a GO TO Place. I prefer this, but again, maybe it is just me.
Other than that i think it is a good game. Keep up the work Mocha MAn.
p.s, any chance of an add-on or a sequel
