Where's Annabel?
Annabel, a beautiful young girl, waits patiently on a tree stump in the middle of a Forest. She is waiting for her true love, Griswold. There is a rustle of leaves behind her. "Grissie, is that you?" she calls out tentatively. but no-one replies. Annabel gets up and investigates the trees. Suddenly a pair of huge arms appears from the trees and grab her. She cannot scream, she struggles but to no avail. And then she is gone! 'Where's Annabel?' is my second attempt at writing a game. It is a complete game and is designed to use click and drag options.

I thoroughly enjoyed this game.. The use of the chemicals was an excellent idea. I did complete the game though without readin the secret paper or opening the safe in the office. Were these extra?
Well done 5/5

An enjoyable game so far. Have you played my Sir Loin games? They are quite similar.
At the moment I am having trouble getting the powder from the press. Is there a way of emptying the jug of water?

An enjoyable demo. I think I finished the demo. I got to the sewers in awakeville and the zombies dragged me off (is that the correct end).
I was a bit stuck to begin with, but after I was told about the command 'teleport' the worlds opened up. I enjoyed trip to the Alien Base. However I did drop the screwdriver (which I never used) and I couldn't pick it up again.
I would be interested to see a full version

Review of Cun Sity

21 May 2008

I was going to give this a good rating, but it was the brevity that stopped me. For a first attempt this is quite good. I enjoyed listening to the TV. The first time I played it I lost, the second time I played I won. Only after reading the winning statement did I realise what I had done to lose the first time. Quite clever (but unredeemable).
If the author was to make a longer version with more locations and puzzles, then I will look forward to playing it

I'm stuck. I can;t get much further than the demo! I'm in the sewer and locked in a cell. I have the bunk. I can easily get out of the cell by using the teleport that takes me back to the alien ship, but then I keep getting locked in the cell when I return to the sewer (you'd think I'd learn by now)

Comment for Shiversword: The Beginning

I think there are a few glitches here. Sorry, my bad.
You gain the point for the socks when you give them to McNasty. (a glitch means you can keep given them until you get the ten points)
To cheer up Mama, you need to give her a box of chocolates- you can buy it from the shop (but only if you've got the money)
I can't help with the saving problem.

Comment for Shiversword: The Beginning

02 Jun 2008

the ten cleaning points should be...
1)making the bed (you will lose this point when you wear the sheet but regain it after the party when you make the bed again)
2)putting the wrapper in the bin
3) cleaning up the vomit with the face mask
4)putting the carrot tops on the compost
5)giving the jar of sweets to lucy
6) cleaning the socks and giving them to McNasty
7) cleaning the boots
8) putting the bleach in the cupboard
9) getting the canary back in the cage
10)bleaching the stain

Review of hellfire

05 Jun 2008

I did it! That took a few goes! Phew!
On the whole I liked the layout of the game. I had to restart the game when I plugged in the TV into the socket and when I unplugged it the socket had gone.
There are lots of items which you get to use (some not so obvious- like the shaving FOAM). There are also some items that don't get used (I think)- like the Black key.
Enjoyable!

Print "[YELLOW][NEW LINE]Christopher Columbus (1451 – May 20, 1506) was a navigator, colonizer, and explorer and one of the first Europeans to explore the Americas after the Vikings. Though not the first to reach the Americas from Europe, Columbus' voyages led to general European awareness of the hemisphere and the successful establishment of European cultures in the New World. It is generally believed that he was born in Genoa, although other theories exist. The name Christopher Columbus is the Anglicization of the Latin Christophorus Columbus. Also well known are his name's rendering in modern Italian as Cristoforo Colombo and in Spanish as Cristóbal Colón.[NEW LINE][NEW LINE]Columbus' voyages across the Atlantic Ocean began a European effort at exploration and colonization of the Western Hemisphere. While history places great significance on his first voyage of 1492, he did not actually reach the South American mainland until his third voyage in 1498. Instead, he made landfall on an island in the Bahamas Archipelago that he named San Salvador while trying to find a sea route to India, hence the indigeneous inhabitants being called "Indians". Likewise, he was not the earliest European explorer to reach the Americas, and there are accounts of European transatlantic contact prior to 1492. Nevertheless, Columbus's voyage came at a critical time of growing national imperialism and economic competition between developing nation states seeking wealth from the establishment of trade routes and colonies. The term Pre-Columbian is sometimes used to refer to the peoples and cultures of the Americas before the arrival of Columbus and further European influence.[BLACK]"

Review of Shipwrecked

I'm with alex here. this is a great game, but the villager is killing me. I ahve a funny feeling I should be dealing with him before worrying about the monkey nest and cannon and stuff. at the mometn I am just walking by him but I assume the timer continues everytime I walk past him.

And can I also ask... is the description on the three tiles supposed to say An internal error or has an internal error actually occurred? :)

I would give it six stars if possible- much better than my games :)

Alex.. You need to find the Monkey nest in the jungle although I dont know whether I found it by accident. Plus I also drop everything before entering the jungle becuase of that darned monkey :)
Alex.. a question for you... did you shoot the drunken pirate on the ship? or have you still got a bullet in the gun? I wonder if there is a way off the pirate ship with the gun so I can shoot that villager

Comment for Shipwrecked

thanks tim. I wondered about shooting the pirate. I saved after that event so every game I tried I had no gun

Alex, the code is in the writing. Think about the assistant :)

Hve you done something with the ant hill? where is the anteater?

Comment for Shipwrecked

18 Oct 2009

I downloaded the zip file. Im still not getting the images or sounds in game. But the folder contains some jpeg files Manbearpig, mb11 to mb19
perhaps it is easier to tell me which mb pic goes with which ceramic tile.

I have tile 1-5 and 7 and 8.

I also blew up the rubble and found a door which has fifteen errors. Are there pictures there too?
Annoyingly, everytime I download the game, my old savefiles don't work so I hav e to start again.
Or maybe I should just give up.

Hi tim. another fantastic game so far. but I have come unstuck.
Reading up people are talking about reversing spells, but I dont think I know how to do that. Is there something in game that I missed to let me know how to do it.

I have Bremoval, but cant use it. I have illuminate, unlock, detect magic and levitate. 4 yellow beads and access to the swirling portal. I am carrying the red orange and yellow potion, if that gives you a clue as to where I am.

Your games inspire me to write more, so thanks. My last one was short (it was going to be longer but some of my ideas didn't pan out) however, it was different to my others. I try to make mine unlose-able (is that a word?) I think I may continue with that, as people seemed to appreciate it.

Hi Blake. The hint for the urn is on the tortoise. If you use the tortoise on the tank, and then examine the tortoise, you will see a message scrawled on it's shell that can only be seen in the blue light from the tank. With that message, you can search the urn.

Okay. This is how to make the hole accesible.
Examine the bronze statue. You find the the arms are pullable
pull arms
you here a noise somewhere
Go to the cellar and examine the rack (you wondered why it was empty) the rack has been moved to reveal the hole;

To reveal the entrance. place the four chess pieces in the correct position as directed by the note. This will make the fountain move slightly, closing up the draining holes. The fill the bucket with water again and use it on the fountain (the word 'flowing' in the note was the clue)
This time the water doesnt drain and the entrance is revealed.

Hope that helps
